NWHS Health Science Academy MediCamp Camp participants will spend three days immersed in all things medical. Activities will include learning about nursing activities and the ways in which emergency medical personnel respond to events, and understanding the what and why behind the protective gear required for medical professionals. Participants will get to spend time in a real ambulance and so much more! The Academy of Plant and Animal System Summer Camp Students will be exposed to multiple aspects of the agriculture industry including animal science, plant science, and natural resources. Create Workshop 2018 Facilitated by students from Rossview’s Academy of Media Arts & Technology, the Create Workshop will offer students a focused three day training and development experience in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Students will enter as Interns and leave as Junior Designers, possessing a better understanding of and appreciation for the field of digital art & design. CITA 2.0 All participants will receive the unique opportunity to experience some of the awesome offerings of the Computer Information Technology Academy (CITA). Participants will have the opportunity to create their own retro video game using the Bloxel system. They will also receive hands-on robotic engineering training with our award winning robotics students. Participation will also include crucial team building skills that are relevant to the current technology industry standards. Join us and experience CITA this Summer! Camp Engineer Camp Engineer is sponsored by the STEM Academy at Kenwood High School and is open to any CMCSS student who will be in middle school in the fall of 2018. The camp will focus on teaching and using the engineering design process to solve problems. All activities students complete during the camp will be hands-on and highly interactive. Academy of Criminal Justice & Homeland Security Summer Camp In this an introductory camp, students will get hands-on instruction related to the Law Enforcement and legal side of the Criminal Justice System. The camp activities will be facilitated by Academy Cadets. Activities include but are not limited to: traffic stops, fingerprinting, mock crime scene investigation, mock court trial and guest speakers from CPD and Sheriff's Department. Students who will be entering 8th or 9th grade in the fall of 2018 and who have an interest in the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security career fields should consider this experience!
