To help ensure a successful beginning to the new school year, please try signing into your student laptop prior to the first day of school.  If you are able to sign in, but cannot access the internet, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to any CMCSS school location with your computer, park near the front entrance (close enough to access the school’s wireless network; no need to exit your vehicle), and sign in to your CMCSS student laptop.
  2. Confirm that you can see the school wireless showing in your available networks:
    1. Click on the Wifi icon in the lower right corner of the screen:
    2. Confirm that “CMCSS Wifi” is displayed on the list of available networks.  If so, proceed to step 3.  If not, please move closer to the front entrance of the school.
  3. Reboot your computer:
    1. Click the Windows icon in the lower left corner of the screen, then click “Power”.
    2. Click “Restart” to reboot your computer.
  4. Once it reboots, sign back in to your student laptop and wait until the computer reboots again on its own. Once it reboots on its own, the necessary updates have been applied and you are finished with the process.  If the computer has not rebooted on its own after five minutes, please follow steps 2-3 once more.  If it still does not reboot on its own, please submit a work order at http://techhelp.cmcss.net or call (931) 920-7779.
