Back-to-School Bash and Resource Fair Open to all CMCSS Students

The CMCSS FIT Team will host a Back-to-School Bash and Resource Fair on Saturday, July 22, 2023. This free event will be held at Kenwood Elementary (1101 Peachers Mill Road) from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Families with children of all ages can enjoy food and drinks, games, family activities, and giveaways from community vendors. Families may also receive school supplies during the event! Supplies are available while supplies last.

Local area churches and civic organizations have generously supported the event by providing inflatables, interactive games, and an obstacle course competition. Families will have indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy.

Community agencies and local non-profit organizations will have booths to provide information and resources. After visiting the vendor booths, families can enter to win prizes, including passes to Defy (now Sky Zone), The City Forum, The Pottery Room, Outback Steakhouse, and Bluegrass Splash.

This event is hosted by the CMCSS Families in Transition Team (FIT team) and community partners. The Families in Transition Office coordinates various services across the district to remove barriers and support students experiencing homelessness. To learn more, visit www.cmcss.net/fit
