Woodlawn Principal Announced

Jennifer Silvers has been appointed principal at Woodlawn Elementary School, replacing Janet Staggs who is now principal at East Montgomery Elementary. Mrs. Silvers has been assistant principal at Woodlawn since 2008.
She earned her master of arts from Trevecca Nazarene University in education and educational leadership. She has a master’s in education from Cumberland University, a B.A. and in education from Mars Hill College in North Carolina, as well as an associate of arts from Maryland Community College in Spruce Pine, N.C..
She began her tenure in CMCSS at Ringgold Elementary in 1996 as a first grade teacher. She went on to teach fourth grade at Ringgold from 2004 to 2008 when she joined the administrative team at Woodlawn.
