TN Promise provides high school graduates two years of tuition free community or technical college. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is Nov. 2. Make sure you don’t miss it!
High school seniors in Tennessee may apply for the Tennessee Promise scholarship, which will provide for two years of tuition-free attendance at a community or technical college in Tennessee. Tennessee Promise is a last-dollar scholarship, meaning it will cover costs of tuition and mandatory fees not met from Pell, HOPE, or state assistance awards. As part of the program, students will be paired with a partnering organization and provided with a mentor who will support them during the college application process.
The TN Promise program needs mentors. Adults 21 year of age and over can sign up and spend 10-15 hours this year helping the class of 2016 meet their scholarship requirements. Return to your alma mater and make a difference. The deadline for mentoring sign up is November 20th. Visit TNAchieves.org for more information.
