Two Administrative Appointments Announced

Damaris Last, who has served as Assistant Principal at Northwest High School, has been selected as principal of West Creek Middle School. She is a doctoral candidate in educational leadership and professional practice at Trevecca Nazarene University, with a projected completion of May 2018. She earned her ED.S. from Lipscomb University and a M.A. in teaching from Austin Peay State University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in accounting. In addition to her administrative experience at Northwest, she previously taught at Montgomery Central High School.
Tearza Baggett, who has served as an academic coach at Glenellen Elementary School, has been selected Assistant Principal for Norman Smith Elementary School. In addition to her experience as academic coach, Ms. Baggett has six years of teaching experience. She earned her M.A. in educational leadership from Austin Peay State University, where she also earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.
