Administrative Appointments Announced

Assistant principals for Woodlawn Elementary School and Northwest High School have been selected. Northwest’s new assistant principal is Jessica Peppard, who has served as academic coach for Northwest and Northeast High Schools. She will replace Marlon Heaston, who has been named principal of Kenwood Middle. Christina Irwin has been appointed assistant principal at Woodlawn, replacing Jennifer Silvers who was named principal of the school.
In addition to her experience as a high school academic coach, Peppard was an English teacher at Northwest and at West Creek High School. She earned her B.S. in English and her master’s in educational leadership from Austin Peay State University.
Irwin has been academic coach and classroom teacher in CMCSS for 10 years. She also has two years experience as a teacher and academic coach in Houston, Texas. She earned her B.S. In elementary education from Austin Peay State University, her master’s in elementary education from Cumberland University and her master’s in educational leadership K-12 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
In another recent announcement, Mandy J. Frost has been selected for the Northeast High School assistant principal position. She replaces Michael Tharpe, who was named Employment Process Coordinator for CMCSS.
Frost has been a mathematics teacher in the district since 2007. She began her career in Christian County, Kentucky schools in 2001. She was the head of the Christian County Middle School math department when she left there in 2007 and joined CMCSS at Northwest High School. At Northwest, she has been the math department chair and involved in other leadership activities.
She earned her ED.S. in educational leadership from Austin Peay State University. She earned her master’s from Murray State University and her bachelor’s from Austin Peay.
