A study of existing school zone lines and school building capacities has been completed and a plan has been developed and approved for the 2017-2018 school year. The initial recommendation was presented to the Board of Education on Nov. 1, 2016 and has impact on Northeast, West Creek and Kenwood Middle and High schools.
Attendance maps are available by clicking on the links below. A public hearing was held on January 3. The final recommendation was presented and approved by the Board of Education on Jan. 10, 2017. This zoning plan will not be implemented until August 2017.
Exceptions will be offered to all affected students currently enrolled in both Northeast and West Creek High Schools and their siblings who are current students at NEMS and WCMS. Families electing to remain at Northeast and West Creek High Schools under this exception will be required to provide their own transportation to and from school. Current PreKindergarten through fifth grade siblings of current West Creek Middle and High Schools or Northeast Middle and High Schools who would have been zoned to attend next year for Northeast Middle or West Creek Middle also may opt out of the rezoning, with the understanding that transportation will not be provided.
