APSU College-Readiness Camp

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 2! Austin Peay State University (APSU) is hosting an on-campus College-Readiness Camp July 19-30 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The camp is designed to support high school graduates in the transition to post-secondary and will focus on the following areas: study skills applying to college completing the FAFSA, ACCUPLACER, or ACT tutoring in math, reading, and writing enrichment sessions Career Services information for selecting the right major Door prizes will be offered during the duration of the camp to include a Google Chromebook. In order to assist with planning, please indicate your interest in attending by completing the form linked here no later than July 2.  Additional information will be sent directly to you prior to the beginning of camp.

The Perkins Reserve Grant will allow CMCSS to fund opportunities to promote career readiness initiatives throughout the district.

West Creek High – Summer Learning Program

Please note: This article was originally posted during a previous school year. Information and/or dates from past events may be not be relevant for the current school year. A recent communication was sent to some middle school families: You are receiving this message because your eighth-grade student (name specified in email) has been promoted to high school even though they failed two or more classes in middle school. We are reaching out to you today to ask for your assistance in ensuring that your student comes to high school in August prepared for the academic course load. West Creek High School will be offering a unique opportunity for your student to attend a High School Summer Session. The session will take place for two weeks, July 6-9 and July 12-16 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. Completion of this program will bridge the academic gap. Additionally, this program will ensure that incoming high-school student-athletes are eligible to play sports at the high-school level. All athletes must be academically eligible to participate in the fall in accordance with TSSAA rules.   If you are interested in allowing your child to attend, please complete the following form by Friday, June 18.
