Administrative Appointments Announced in February

The following administrative appointments were announced in February.

Montgomery Central High School Assistant Principal

Jason Greene has been selected as an assistant principal at Montgomery Central High School. He has been an assistant principal at Northwest High School since 2019. Previously, he served as a math teacher at Rossview High School. He also has experience as a Freshman Focus Teacher and Boys Golf Coach and has served in several school- and district-level leadership roles.

He earned his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, B.S. in Mathematics from Austin Peay State University, and B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.

Northeast Middle School Assistant Principal

Shanacia Thomasson has been selected as an assistant principal at Northeast Middle School. She currently serves as an academic coach at Kenwood Middle School. Thomasson began her career with CMCSS in 2012 and has served as elementary academic coach, elementary teacher, and sixth-grade math teacher as well as several school- and district-level leadership roles. She earned the Distinguished Educator distinction in 2018 and Green Apple Award in 2015 and 2016.

Thomasson is currently a doctoral student at Trevecca Nazarene University. She earned her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Carson-Newman University and B.S. in Elementary Education from Austin Peay State University.

Rossview Middle School Assistant Principal

David Hooper has been selected as an assistant principal at Rossview Middle School. Currently, he serves as an academic specialist at Cheatham County Central High School. He began his career in public education in 2011 and has served as an assistant principal, RTI teacher, Interim Director of Communications, Dean of Students, history/criminal justice teacher, and educational assistant.

Hooper earned his MAT and administrative licensure endorsement from Trevecca Nazarene University and B.S. from Austin Peay State University.

Professional Learning Coordinator for Classified Employees

Dr. Jaime Holder has been selected as the Professional Learning Coordinator for Classified Employees. The purpose of this ESSER 3.0-funded position is to coordinate the development, production, location, resourcing, and delivery of classified professional learning programs. This position will provide high-quality training opportunities for district classified employees, with a focus on educational assistants, bus drivers, administrative office assistants, and accounting technicians.

Dr. Holder has been an assistant principal at Kenwood Middle School since 2015. She began her career with CMCSS in 2007 at Northwest High School and has served as an English, drama, and speech teacher, theatre director, and head volleyball coach. She also has two years of experience as a teacher, coach, and tutor in Arkansas with Teach for America. She has served in numerous school-, district-, and state-level leadership roles, including Department Chair, New Teacher Induction Leader/Mentor/Specialist, District Writing Model Leadership Team member, and State Portfolio Evaluator.

She earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Carson-Newman University, MSE in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, M.Ed. in English Education from Delta State University, and B.A. in English and Drama from Transylvania University.

New Providence Middle School Principal

Richard Frost has been selected as the principal of New Providence Middle School, beginning the 2022-2023 school year. He will be replacing Scott Wainwright who will be serving as an assistant principal at the new Kirkwood Middle School.

Frost has served as an assistant principal at New Providence since 2016. Before entering school administration, he had served as the Student Support Coordinator and taught mathematics, physical education, and special education at New Providence since 2008. Previously, he served for six years as a math teacher at Northeast Middle School. He also has 13 years of athletics coaching experience. Frost was honored in 2006 with the Distinguished Educator Green Apple Award.

Frost earned both his M.A. in Educational Leadership Studies and B.S. in Physical Education from Austin Peay State University. He completed the McREL Balanced Leadership Training for Administrators and the CMCSS Leadership Development Class Series.

Hazelwood and Pisgah Elementary Schools Assistant Principal

Dr. Tiffany Stewart has been selected for the split assistant principal position for Hazelwood and Pisgah elementary schools. She has served as a math and reading interventionist in Sumner County since 2017. Previously, she served for four years as an English special education teacher and two years as a special education one-on-one assistant. Dr. Stewart has facilitated several school, district, and state-level trainings and has served as a new teacher mentor.

Dr. Stewart earned her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership & Strategic Change and Ed.S. in Reading Specialty from Lipscomb University, M.A. in Education from Cumberland University, and B.A. in Psychology from Fisk University. She is a graduate of the Sumner County Leadership Academy.
