CMCSS Substitute Teacher Coach
Dr. Nabraunda Jackson has been selected as the principal of Northeast Elementary School, beginning the 2022-2023 school year. She will be replacing Dr. Regina Lyle, who will be the CMCSS Substitute Teacher Coach starting July 25, 2022.
Dr. Jackson has been the principal of Byrns Darden Elementary School since 2018. Previously, she served at the school as an assistant principal for six years and as a lead special education teacher for six years. In addition to her public-school administration and teaching experience, she has been an adjunct professor in the areas of special education and health and safety. She received the Green Apple Award in 2009 and was named a Distinguished Classroom Teacher and Distinguished Educators Finalist in 2011.
She earned her Ph.D. in K-12 Education Leadership from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn., M.A.Ed. from Tennessee State University, M.S. in Human Development & Leadership from Murray State University, and B.S. in Education from Austin Peay State University. She completed the CMCSS Aspiring Administrator Academy, CMCSS High Potential Assistant Principal Program, and McREL Balanced Leadership Training for Administrators. She serves on the District’s Minority Recruitment Committee and is a member of several national professional organizations.
Clarksville High School Assistant Principal
Autumn Kirkland has been selected as an assistant principal at Clarksville High School, beginning the 2022-2023 school year.
She currently serves as the AVID Coordinator and an AVID and college and career readiness instructor at New Providence Middle School. Kirkland started her career in CMCSS in 2015 as a reading-language arts teacher. Additionally, she has served as a Site-Based Induction Specialist, team leader, and volleyball coach. In 2020, she earned the Green Apple Educator of the Year distinction.
Kirkland earned her Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership and Accountability from Trevecca Nazarene University, M.S.Ed. with specialization in Adolescent Literacy and Learning from Walden University, and a B.S. in English from Austin Peay State University.
Shelli Childers has been selected as an assistant principal at Richview Middle School.
She currently serves as a science teacher at Richview Middle. Previously, Childers has served as an assistant principal and academic coach at Carmel Elementary and a teacher at Carmel and Sango elementary schools and Northeast Middle School, beginning her tenure with the district in 2001. She earned the Distinguished Classroom Teacher of the Year designation.
Childers earned her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and B.S. in Elementary Education from Austin Peay State University. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. at Austin Peay State University. She completed the CMCSS Leadership Development Class Series, Aspiring Administrators Academy, McREL Balanced Leadership Training, and the TSIN Innovative Leaders Institute.

Dr. Nigel B. Anderson and Dr. Elizabeth Ashley McDonald have been selected as assistant principals at Northwest High School.
Dr. Anderson has served as a Coordinator of Special Populations for CMCSS since 2021. Previously, he served as a Principal, Associate Principal of Operations, Special Services Coordinator, and School Psychologist in Illinois. He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis, Ed.S. in School Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, M.A. in Educational Administration from Governors State University, and B.A. in Political Science from National Louis University.
Dr. McDonald currently serves as the Student Support Coordinator at Northwest High School. Previously, she served for almost a decade as a biology teacher. She also has served as an athletics coach, RTI Lead, Site-Based Induction Specialist, Assistant Athletic Director, and in other school-, district-, and state-level leadership, curriculum, and assessment roles. She was named the Teacher of the Year in 2016 and a Distinguished Classroom Teacher in 2018. She earned her Ed.D. in Education, Leadership & Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University, Ed.S. in Curriculum & Instruction Reading Specialist and MAT in Biology from Austin Peay State University, and her B.S. in Environmental Science from Lambuth University. Dr. McDonald completed the CMCSS Aspiring Administrators Academy and Leadership Development Series.
