Retirement
CMCSS employees who are preparing for retirement should begin the process here (the link is also available on Classlink.)
Retire Ready TN
Make sure your savings go to those you choose. It only takes a few minutes to designate the ones you love. When no beneficiary is named, your account may go through probate before assets can be released, making the process more difficult for your loved ones.
- To name or update beneficiaries for your 401(k) and/or 457 Plan savings, simply visit RetireReadyTN.gov and click Login to your 401(k)/457 accounts. Click Register then I do not have a PIN to register your account if you’ve never done so.
- After you log in, navigate to I want to…, then click on View/Edit Beneficiary Information. Follow the prompts to name your beneficiary.
- While you’re online, make sure RetireReadyTN has your personal email address to help keep your account secure. From the I want to… menu, click on Update Personal Information to add your email address.
- Name your TCRS beneficiary through Member Self-Service at MyTCRS.tn.gov. Once logged in, navigate to View/Change Beneficiary.
