District Offices Reopening

District and school offices are closed to the public on Friday, Aug. 28. Central Services Gracey is open to the public by appointment only Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.



Continued Learning Resources

This page provides guidance on Continued Learning Resources available during the closure due to COVID-19. Children thrive within structured environments, and it will be important to provide opportunities during the day for your children to be creative, read and discuss what they are reading, and participate in physical activity. It is a good idea to create a daily structure in the mornings and afternoons for your children to do these things.



Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates in CMCSS

The CMCSS Communicable Disease Team (CDT) comprised of leaders from CMCSS and the Montgomery County Health Department meet regularly to review the latest guidance from the CDC and make recommendations for the health and safety of students, employees and the community.



Free Meals for Children

CMCSS will continue offering free meals to children in Clarksville-Montgomery County through Wednesday, August 26 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon at the following locations: Barksdale Elementary, Burt Elementary, Glenellen Elementary, Moore Magnet Elementary, Montgomery Central High, Northeast High, and Northwest High schools.



Middle & High School Laptops and Personal Items

Tomorrow, Tue., March 17, middle and high schools will be open from 7-11 a.m. for students to pick up their assigned laptops or important personal items that were left at the school. To reduce the number of individuals coming into the school, it is preferred that only the student come to the front office. Elementary schools will not be open.



Chief Communications Officer Named for CMCSS

Anthony Johnson has been selected as Chief Communications Officer (CCO) for CMCSS, beginning April 1. He replaces Elise Shelton who retires at the end of May.

CMCSS has proactive measures in place to reduce the spread of illness in our schools such as our two-step cleaning process, which allows custodians to focus their attention on high-touch surfaces to kill germs. District leadership is continuing to meet with local health officials to review best practices and receive updates which may impact this community. CMCSS is focused on keeping our more than 36,500 students and 5,000 employees safe. The following resources from the CDC provide actionable things you and your children can do to prevent the spread of flu, strep, and COVID-19.

Open Enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System offers several non-traditional schools and programs of choice for students. Additionally, specific grade levels in seven elementary schools are available for open enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year.
