Administrative Appointments Announced

Dr. Bryan Johnson, who is serving as director of high schools for CMCSS, has been named Chief Academic Officer.  Dr. Johnson, who earned his doctorate from Trevecca Nazarene University, served as principal of Northwest High School for two years and was assistant principal of West Creek High School for two years. He has worked in CMCSS since 2007, beginning his tenure as an assistant football coach at Clarksville High, then as head football coach at Northeast High School, where he taught special education.  He earned his masters of arts in teaching from Belmont University and his bachelors of business administration from Austin Peay State University.

All County Choir Postponed

Update regarding the All County Choir scheduled for February 20-21: The organizers of this event will reschedule the event due to this week’s weather. Music teachers of the participating schools will be informed once the new date has been confirmed. Thank you for your patience regarding this event and we look forward to working with your talented children in the near future.

Vaughn Named Elementary Curriculum Lead, Hedrick Takes Over as Sango Principal

Emily Vaughn has been named elementary and middle schools director of curriculum and instruction for CMCSS, replacing Sallie Armstrong who is retiring this school year.  Mrs. Vaughn, who has served as principal at Sango Elementary since 2009 and in assistant principalships at Moore Magnet and Montgomery Central Elementary Schools, joined CMCSS in 1998 as a classroom teacher.  She earned her master of arts in education, instructional leadership and her B.S. in interdisciplinary studies from Austin Peay State University.
